The Crane
Built in 1887 on Barbados' southeast coast, The Crane was the island's first resort. Today the original hotel forms the centrepiece of a luxurious villa complex that combines 19th-century grandeur with modern-day luxury. Perched on a hilltop, panoramic views are the order of the day. Take the elevator down the cliff top and you've got the fabulous Crane Beach at your disposal. The reef-protected, pink sand Crane Beach is accessible via elevator or steps. A COMPLIMENTARY shuttle service runs to the supermarket twice weekly, so you can stock up on essentials or opt to have your groceries delivered to you. On Thu, a COMPLIMENTARY shuttle transports guests to downtown Bridgetown and Fridays to the famous Oistins fish fry. Transfer time from airport: 20 min.
