Almond Beach Village
I stayed at Almond Beach Village in June this year it was my third visit, and I enjoyed it as much as the others.
Always receiving a warm welcome upon arrival from Jude. My expectations were exceeded by the excellent service and friendly staff and the cleanliness of the hotel at all times.
The watersport team were great with there instruction for water-skiing and knee-boarding, we also had sailing lessons which was thoroughly enjoyed
I also experienced my first scuba dive down at St Lawrences gap, were I then took the advantage to spend the day at the new Almond Casuarina which was wonderful with a beautiful beach. I look forward to staying there in the near future too experince a different part of the island and the nightlife at the gap.
Can't wait for my next visit, with thanks to Polly for making the holiday the best yet
Amazing Barbados
I have recently been to Barbados this year ,which will be now be my forth visit and i must say it is an amazing place, so beautiful , the people are just adorable and so friendly and helpful.
What really sticks in my mind is the fact that the staff from Almond Beach remembered me from my previous visits, I have never experienced that before.I can thoroughly recommend this resort as you will enjoy every minute of your holiday and all the facilities on offer.
Don't forget to try a Mud Slide Cocktail and see Caprice and the rest of the staff at the North bar as they will look after you. Fun and laughter is to be had, whether you have children or not, they cater for all.
Almond Casuarina Beach Resort
Having just returned from Almond Resorts Barbados , I was fortunate enough to visit the newly opened 4 star Almond Beach Casuarina Hotel .
Opened May this year , some facilities are still due to open shortly ,i.e fitness centre , and a few other amenities , Most of the room blocks are open , those that are not quite ready are at the back of the resort away from the main hotel area with internal work being done on them , No loud building work noise .
The hotel is Beautiful , all fresh brand new furniture , lobby is lovely , bright and clean , rooms are amazing , I am hoping in time Almond will update the rooms at the Club and Spa and the Village to this new modern look , these rooms are gorgeous .
This hotel immediately has the Almond Resorts feel as soon as you arrive , also nice to see familiar Staff who have transferred from the Almond Resorts West Coast hotels to work at the Casuarina .
The beach is breathtaking with powder white sand and clear blue sea , the only negative being it does get a bit windy , and the current can be strong at times, not ideal for children , they will probably spend most of the time in the swimming pools .
Water-skiing is not available here , however there are 4 shuttle services daily to take you to the other Almond Properties if you wish to spend the day water-skiing at another Almond Resort .
I feel the hotel will be suited for Couples, Singles, and Families , and most popular with those people who are after the nightlife of St Lawrence Gap. Children will be fine in this hotel, however with the current being quite strong at times in the sea, I would still recommend the Village for families , or maybe do a twin centre a week at Almond Casuarina and a week at Almond Beach Village .
Summary, Fantastic, Beautiful hotel but has to be sold to the correct clientele .
I am really looking forward to staying there
